Who we are
ShanVic & Co L.L.C. operates ShanVic. For privacy questions or requests, contact our Privacy Officer at [email protected].
What we receive
When you contact us, request a Clarity Brief, upload a file, or work with us, we receive the information you choose to provide. That can include your name, work email, company information, messages, intake answers, files, project records, contracts, invoices, and payment records.
Our systems also record limited technical information needed to deliver and secure the site, such as IP address, request time, device or browser information, security events, and language preference. Full payment-card details are handled by the payment provider rather than stored by ShanVic.
Public-source research
Clarity Briefs and other research work may use public business information from company websites, public professional profiles, filings, news coverage, and other public sources. That can include professional information about people acting in a business role. We use that material to perform the requested work, not to build consumer profiles.
How we use information
We use information to answer requests, prepare and deliver work, manage projects and invoices, protect our systems, prevent abuse, keep necessary business records, and meet legal obligations. Optional marketing is separate and is only sent when permitted and with a way to stop it.
For processing covered by UK data-protection law, our legal bases include steps you ask us to take before a contract, performing a contract, legal obligations, consent when it is needed, and legitimate interests such as service security, fraud prevention, and ordinary business administration.
Service providers and transfers
We use service providers for functions such as hosting, security, email, collaboration, payments, research, AI-assisted analysis, and document production. We send a provider only the information reasonably needed for the task. We may also disclose information to professional advisers or when law requires it.
Some service providers may process information outside the United Kingdom. Where UK law requires a transfer safeguard, we use an available lawful mechanism such as adequacy regulations or contractual safeguards.
How long we keep it
We keep information only as long as it is reasonably needed for the work, client relationship, accounting and business records, dispute resolution, security, or a legal obligation. The period varies by the kind of record and any client agreement.
Your rights
Where UK data-protection law applies, you may ask for access, correction, deletion, restriction, or portability of your personal data. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests and withdraw consent at any time when consent is the legal basis. You may also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).
Send a request to [email protected]. We will respond according to the law that applies to the request.
Security
We use access controls, encrypted transport, service hardening, monitoring, and other safeguards appropriate to the information we process. No online system can be guaranteed completely secure.
Changes
We update this notice when our services or legal obligations change. The current version is the one published here.
